The model
What is an Exponential Organisation?
Companies such as Google, Facebook or Airbnb have grown from a handful of employees to global organisations, and from little or no revenue to billions, with unprecedented margins, sometimes in only a few years. Along the way they transformed entire industries and rewrote the rules of the market.
The 2014 book Exponential Organizations by Salim Ismail, Michael S. Malone and Yuri van Geest explains why such organisations emerge now, and how established companies can respond or become one. Based on research into the world’s fastest-growing startups, it identifies their common traits.
